Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Kelsey celebrated her 14th birthday a couple of weeks ago. I'm just a little slow at posting these days. Kelsey wnated to bake her own cake this year and did a great job on it. No complaints from mom!!! Kelsey decided she wanted to invited a "few" of her friends over for a sleep over. The pictures below explain the crazy evening with ten teenage girls!! A big hit that night...the chocolate fountain!
Kelsey was excited to receive tickets from mom and dad to go and see Grease the Musical (post coming soon!) Just excuse the extensive make up on her face. You'll understand real soon!
Now the real fun begins! The girls decided they wanted to style eachothers hair and cake on the make up before their big debut! I think they used an entire jar of gel on Hannah's hair do (top left). After posing for this picture, they ran upstairs and raided my closet for a New York style Fashion Show.
I should of posted some pictures of the fashion show but I couldn't narrow them down so instead I chose to post the "after the show dance party".
But one of the biggest hits of the night was the Xbox 360 game called Nazi Zombies. (One of Chris' favorites). My ears are still ringing from the high pitch screams!
As soon as the girls woke in the morning, they were back on the game!

Too cute!

As a monthly tradition, Loma's side of the family gets together on Fast Sunday for dinner. On March 1st, we happened to celebrate the birthdays of my niece Addison and Kelsey. All Kelsey wanted for her birthday was a new phone, so that's what she got. She had been so protective of her phone, not even letting her brothers see it. Well, while we were at Louis and Liz's house (Loma's brother and sis-in-law) for dinner, my niece Peyton was very interested in what her cousin Kelsey was doing. Next thing I know, Kelsey was showing Peyton just how her phone worked. Peyton couldn't wait to get her hands on it and Kelsey didn't mind. Poor Uncle Chris and Aunt Amanda...their daughter is only a year old and already learning the art of texting, thanks to her big cousin Kelsey! I just had to share!

Kelsey's 14 today!

Happy 14th birthday, Bear!!! It seems like just yesterday my beautiful daughter was placed in my arms for the first time. It's hard to imagine that day was 14 years ago. She's become a little too big for us to hold and rock her but at least she still enjoys hugging her mom and dad. Kelsey has grown up and matured into a beautiful young lady. We are so blessed to have her as our one and only daughter! Kelsey, you are such an incredible blessing to our family. You are a great example to your brothers, cousins and friends. We thank Heavenly Father for sending you to our family! We love you so much!! Happy Birthday Kelsey!!

Blue and Gold Dinner

This year's theme for our Blue and Gold Dinner was "America's ABC's". As a tradition in our ward, father and sons bake and decorate cakes for dessert. Since the theme was America, the Primary Presidency asked that the boys pick a state and decorate a cake with that state in mind. We decided to make the Ohio State Flag since that is where I was born. Chris and Riley did a great job!. Not only did they have fun together but they both learned about the state flag. For example, there are 17 stars because it was the 17th state admitted into the union and the white circle with the red center not only represents the first letter in the state's name, but also it's nickname, the "buckeye state".
We couldn't be more proud of Riley. He works hard when it comes to scouting! Way to go Riley!

Zombie Mania!

I couldn't resist taking these pictures...now let me explain why! Over the last two years, Chris and his "best friend" Arlan, have contemplated adding a second T.V. to our game room so they could play Xbox 360 together. Yes, we do have Xbox Live, but I guess talking via the headset, while at their separate homes was not good enough. Well, last week, it happened! Arlan bought a new T.V. for his family room and decided the old one needed a new home in our gameroom! Can you guess what's gonna on now??? You guessed it!! Now, the two "boys" are side by side playing Call of Duty 5 a couple of times a week! With the two of them playing in our house, the yelling seems to be getting louder! All I hear is..."Cover me, cover me, I'm out of ammo!" Killing zombie's must be a tough job!
At least I know where to find them!!
