This year's theme for our Blue and Gold Dinner was "America's ABC's". As a tradition in our ward, father and sons bake and decorate cakes for dessert. Since the theme was America, the Primary Presidency asked that the boys pick a state and decorate a cake with that state in mind.
We decided to make the Ohio State Flag since that is where I was born. Chris and Riley did a great job!. Not only did they have fun together but they both learned about the state flag. For example, there are 17 stars because it was the 17th state admitted into the union and the white circle with the red center not only represents the first letter in the state's name, but also it's nickname, the "buckeye state".
We couldn't be more proud of Riley. He works hard when it comes to scouting! Way to go Riley!
